“Fade to black at the end is a little too early. That’s it!”

NOTES FROM PRODUCER:

I moved the “fade to black” further out; however to accomplish this I had to cut in to the closer shot that was filmed during practice. Because in the wider shot (which was filmed during the live event) Sherry starts to reach quickly to turn a page of music in preperation for playing the next song. The reaching is very distracting to see during the fade to black… So, the only way to push the fade to black further out was to introduce the cut in to the close up. Let me know if this works for you. If not, we may have to go back to the previous version. Thanks!

Cuts are too frequent/quick in this one. Slow it down a bit and let her finish more of her phrases on a single shot. (Shots are beautiful though!)

NOTES FROM PRODUCER:

I completely re-edited the piece to eliminate several cuts while also introducing cross-fade transitions on several of the edits to help compliment the pacing of the song.

Camera jiggle at 53 seconds. Last third of the video has a few more cuts than we would like, but overall the pacing was great.

NOTES FROM PRODUCER:

Removed the camera jiggle by replacing it with a different angle shot. I also re-visited the last third of the edit per your request and removed some of the cuts — improving the pacing overall.

Do you have any crowd-shots you could use for this video? We’d like a few, if possible. Also, make the whole last line, “Are you ready?” be the distant shot (instead of having the first half be up-close and then cutting to further away).

NOTES FROM PRODUCER:

I was able to make the change at the end of the video with the “Are you ready?” line now appearing all in the wide shot without cutting back in for the close up.
However, I looked through all the footage again and unfortunately we do not have any crowd shots for this song. I wish we did, as I agree with you that it would be nice.
